American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt the actress played Willa McPherson as reporter. She also appeared in the supporting role on the short-lived series The Ex List. She was a part of the young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead, and Sophie on The NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced several characters from the animated series Family Guy. Since 2019, she has starred as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10, at which point her mom and she moved to California [1] where they lived for a year before moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge became interested in acting, photography as well as singing around the age of 13. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue her acting career.
